Eleanor Scott Iglehart died peacefully of natural causes on June 2nd 1998 in Tallahassee . She was 87. In accord with her wishes, a joyful family gathering was held August 15th/16th on the Patomac near her birthplace. An osprey danced for her.
We adjourned to a feast of softshell Maryland crabs - her favourite delicacy.
Born Eleanor Washington Scott, in Southern Maryland, she was a long-term resident of Winter Haven, Florida before moving to Tallahassee in 1992. She also spent many happy summers in Orange, in the Virginia Piedmont, where she leaves many friends.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Eden Iglehart of Lloyd, Florida and Edward Scott Iglehart of Palnackie, Scotland, and four grandchildren, Andy and Ali Iglehart of Lloyd, and Tom and Annabel Iglehart of Palnackie. She has gone to her reward. We miss her.
